Graham Cracker Pie Crust

Posted by Chrisi

Step 1:
• 1 3/4 cup of honey graham cracker crumbs (~12 sheets of crackers)
• 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, firmly packed
• 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
• 1 tablespoon of flour
• Big pinch of sea salt
Step 2:
• 6 tablespoons of unsalted butter, melted
• 1 teaspoon of water

Preheat oven to 350⁰F. Spray the pie pan with Pam™ Baking spray.

I use a food processor to make the graham cracker crumbs. Alternatively, the crackers can be placed in a large freezer bag and crushed with a rolling pin.

Combine the ingredients listed under “Step 1” and mix evenly.

Place the unmelted butter and a teaspoon of water (Step 2) in a microwave-safe dish and melt the butter. Pour the melted mixture (Step 2) over the graham cracker crumb mixture (Step 1). Combine with your fingers until the graham crackers form evenly dampened crumbs. Spread the mixture into the greased pie pan and press evenly in the pan. I use the bottom of a measuring cup (size, 1 cup) to press the graham crackers into the pan, beginning in the center and working up the sides of the pan.

Bake the graham cracker crust for 10-12 minutes. Cool and fill with a yummy filling.
